Attitude Epic Award

Sponsored by Drake Medox

What is the Attitude Epic Award?

The Attitude Epic Award, sponsored by Drake Medox, celebrates the unexpected – people who are breaking preconceived ideas of what’s possible when you live with disability, by simply getting out there and doing cool stuff for the fun of it! This is about truly interesting talents…relative to the person’s disability.

We’ve heard of a woman who sews with her toes, a blind teenager who rides a BMX and person with no arms who can roll newspapers with his feet. We know of a young boy who uses a contraption on his wheelchair to catapult soccer balls into the air!

How do people enter?

People need to post on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter a video of something they’ve done within the past 2 years, along with the hashtag #EpicAward2017

The winner of the Epic Award will be chosen by the AttitudeLive digital team, in conjunction with the sponsor. The winner will receive: travel, accomodation and tickets for the 2017 Attitude Awards as well as a Theta-S 360 Video Camera, donated by RICOH, to continue their budding film career.

Who can enter?

This Award is open to people residing in New Zealand or Australia. The video must be focused on a person living with a disability, and be submitted by that person or by someone else with permission from the person featured in the video. The winner will be the featured person, regardless of who submitted the video.

Submissions are now closed, but check back soon to find out who has won!

Drake Medox have been a long time supporter of the Attitude Awards. Thank you for once again coming on board, and having the foresight to get behind this new digital initiative to help change perceptions of people who live with disability.
